A Waveworn Phenomenon unique to Lahai-Roi, erupting when Voidmatter concentrations reach a critical threshold. It indiscriminately dissolves all matter and existence within its range, causing widespread devastation. However, anything that is comprised of components that have fallen off the Exostrider have some innate resistance to this Phenomenon.
Before it strikes, an atmospheric light known as the Shimmer typically appears, serving as an early warning. It takes the form of a bright light and an iridescent dome before turning into a chaotic, purple torrent of annihilation.

Due to the nature of Void Storms, anyone related to the Spacetrek Collective has been issued a unique Terminal (Frequency Cassette Recorders) outfitted with a Rabelle Cassette. It offers some measure of protection to the Storm by preserving innate frequencies. While not perfect, it will help against low levels of exposure.
Additionally, as Void Storms (and related entities, such as Voidworms) can spawn in any location, to ensure the safety of all personnel and students of the Spacetrek Collective and Startorch Academy, a specialized protective infrastructure has been developed using reverse-engineered materials inspired by the Exostrider’s surface fibers and coatings. It provides a degree of resistance against Voidmatter contamination. It is now deployed as a standard protective measure in Spacetrek Collective camps, research outposts, and transit hubs. The largest installation is the Antivoid Canopy surrounding Startorch Academy. Even the Mechascouts around the area are equipped with them.
While the Storms are extremely dangerous, it’s not the only problem. Voidworms are amalgamated horror that often emerges alongside Void Storms. During lulls between Storms, it primarily inhabits the highly concentrated Voidmatter environment of the Mawburrow Desert. The Voidmatter Regulators on its head serve as both its power source and its weakness.
