Yangyang: "So you don't know why you're here, where you're from, or who you are..."
Hello everyone, I'm Valerio and in this writing we're going to deal with a delicate topic of the lore of Wuthering Waves. I am going to talk with you about the protagonist of the story, Rover.
This document will contain many spoilers relating to the first 4 acts of the Wuthering Waves story, coming from CBT2, which may change in part.
In addition, I definitely want to point out that this writing will have some speculative parts in it, as we are obviously still short on information. But this is my job as a lore researcher, or is it?
I want to start this document from the beginning, from the opening cinematics with a speculative part, where we see Rover for the first time.
Rover is floating in space as the goddess approaches them. The two entities appear to be inside a protective layer. We can see that there is a third, cross-shaped entity that presumably resembles an eye or a black hole, which leads us to think that they could be observed by someone or something else.
We might therefore think, that initially the goddess was not already present at the location, but that she arrives with a specific purpose. So, we could think of an initial situation where there are only the entity and Rover, and that they have some sort of connection with each other.
Everything begins when the goddess extracts five golden cores from inside Rover's chest.
It is clear to see that the goddess' expression shows sadness, leading us to infer that this action she would not really want to do it.
Then, the goddess inserts the five golden cores into Rover's right hand, causing the awakening and birth of the Tacet Mark.
