Roccia: “Tacet Discords, incoming. Stay alert, everyone.”

Rover, Roccia and Brant defeated the TDs.

Roccia: “These are human footprints. Looks like they're heading to the Arena.”

Brant: “This is the only way up. Let's pick up the pace. Begone, you vexing wretches... The Sacrificial Arena is right there. Let's take them down in one blow.”

The group heads to the Figurehead's Shrine. In front of them, a woman kneels in prayer as the dragon approaches her menacingly.

Devout Follower: “Oh, Divinity above, please have mercy on me... Is this... some kind of test for me? I-I see. No matter how harsh the punishment, I'll take it. Even if... even if...”

Brant rushes towards the woman to save her in time.

Brant: “Even if... it means death?”

Roccia: “We've never done anything that warrants paying with our lives.”

Brant: I'd wager mercy isn't on the table. However... Brant: In the face of danger and adversity, the stage is set for our grandest act! Roccia: Brant, you handle the Tacet Discords. I've got the dragon. Brant: Of course, but with all due respect... shouldn't the Captain be the one giving the orders? Roccia: Just playing to our strengths. Take it, or I'll spill the beans about your wine stash. Brant: Aye, aye, First Mate! Roccia: It's time to pay for what you've done, Dragon of Dirge.

Abby: Of course! You think that lil' lizard could take me down? I just took a nap after eating its frequency. Hic...

Abby: Uh, seriously? You think that lil' lizard could take me down? I just took a nap after eating its frequency. Hic.

Defeat the Dragon of Dirge Abby: Hic... Rover: Abby! I knew you'd be okay! Abby! I thought I lost you! Abby! I'll avenge you! Abby: Thanks, but no thanks. You think that lil' lizard could take me down? I just took a nap after eating its frequency. Hic. Abby: But seriously, that was close! The fire it breathed almost singed your hair! Good thing I was here to back you up! Abby: As soon as I realized it was a Tacet Discord, I went for it and ate its frequency. Piece of cake! But I gotta say, it was a pretty hefty bite. Abby: I swear I chewed it up, but it was hard to swallow. It wasn't the taste, you know. More like my digestion's been a mess lately. Hic.

Rover: Is it because of your condition? Your condition is definitely getting worse. Exercising more might help with that. Abby: That's not the point! The real deal is, I found something crazy in its frequency. Abby: You said you somehow experienced empathy with a Tacet Discord back in Jinzhou, right? How about trying that again with this guy? Abby: Trust me! This could be our big break! ???: Gehinnom, a wretched soul, mourned by none... ???: You are reborn to fulfill our sacred rite... Illuminate the path of salvation... ???: Become the fiery hand of judgment, purging all transgressions... ???: Cleanse every soul ensnared by their own indulgence... ???: Those who cannot withstand the trial by fire... shall forever be barred from our pure land... Abby: See? I wasn't lying!

Rover: The Order found a way to control the dragon. Roccia: Tacet Discords' frequencies are perpetually fading, inching toward their end. Roccia: Their only way to maintain their existence is to consume other frequencies as food. Roccia: The Dark Tide and mist enveloping this isle have drawn in countless Tacet Discords. Their frequencies should have been enough to feed the dragon. Roccia: If what you saw is true, then... Roccia: The Order must've used some trick to control the dragon, making its frequency fade away faster than it should. Roccia: That means they could be responsible for why the dragon began attacking all living beings, including humans... Brant: In time, it ended up becoming a harbinger of death. Roccia: ... Brant: I found this during the previous battle. Brant: It seems the Fractsidus had their hand in this case as well.

Rover: You know of the Fractsidus? Really? Them again? Brant: Mm? So you know them too. Seems we have much to discuss. Brant: Our troupe usually earns a living by performing on the nearby islands. Sometimes, we take on escort missions for merchant ships as well. That's how we first got acquainted with the Fractsidus. Brant: At first, they were just lurking about, raiding ships. But as the Carnevale drew near, their actions grew suspicious. We noticed them lingering around a certain sea. Brant: Remember Cetus the Tidebreaker, the creature that attacked you when we first met? Brant: After we parted ways, we went searching for it to find out what had gone wrong. Brant: This is what we found on its tail... another Lycoris. Brant: Alas, the Tidebreaker slipped away into the deep, beyond our reach. Still, this bloom leaves no doubt. The Fractsidus is behind its strange behavior.
