Theory about Genshu Lin and Scar (Spoilers for chapter 3-6 of main story)
Am I the only one who thinks Scar is Geshu Lin? Maybe it's obvious but I just haven't heard anyone talk about it! Hear me out:
- Their resonator mark is the exact same on the exact same place
- Geshu Lin's right mechanical black arm is the same as Scar's right mechanical black arm
- It says Geshu Lin was "never seen again", NOT that he died. He just disappeared
- This one I think is the biggest proof. Scar has 1 red eye and 1 greyish eye. His red eye is on his right side and it's the eye with a scar. In the Jiyan flashback, Genshu doesn't have a red eye like Scar. However, in the animation for the story, when Genshu Lin draws his sword using all his power, he develops a glowing red eye on the right side EXACTLY LIKE SCAR. Jiyan remembers him prior to becoming mad/possibly "overclocking". Scar is Genshu Lin after becoming mad and merging with the TDs.
- Remember Scar's black lamb story? He says it's an allegory for something that happened in real life.
- In the story, he is the black lamb, and he is trying to help the people, but ends up disappearing and being criticized/cast out/painted in a negative light unfairly. In Geshu Lin's story, he tried to help the people, but ends up disappearing and being criticized/cast out/painted in a negative light unfairly.
- If you speak with an NPC nearby (forget his name) before going to meet the flower grandma in the story, after being told Geshu Lin's story, the NPC will ask "Was Genshu Lin truly at fault for the losses? Was he fairly protrayed?" or something along those lines, casting doubt on the way the people treated him after the war. It's similar to the doubt and questions Scar asks in his story.
- Their hair is the same color, white/greyish. On Scar's goat boss form, they both have the same hair: long and white with purple-ish undertones/strands:
- Their eyes both have the same animations when speaking.
