The Roya of Lahai-Roi have a long-standing folklore referred to as “The Trine Myth.” Essentially, it describes events, both past and present — even going so far as to predict the future. It presents several epochs:

“According to observations from the Solisylum, the final days of the Second Epoch have now begun to overlap with the dawn of the Third.” — Giant’s Gaze Exploration Report

While a common story in Royan homes, it is largely glossed over due to the frequency it is heard of. However, the non-indigenous residents of Lahai-Roi have demonstrated curiosity in it, especially with respect to the accuracy in how the stories have mirrored history thus far.

A Royan student found near the Rabelle College describes the basic mythology as follows:

Ivar: “Legend says... at the end of the First Epoch, the world froze over. A "Great Glacial Lock," they called it. Raging tides trapped our god, Sol, in the sky, and the Roya lost their means to speak with the universe... In the Second Epoch, Sol took the form of Baldur to walk among us mortals. It managed to seal away the foreign god, Hvedrungr, but was gravely wounded... Just before Baldur fell into its long slumber, its heart became a second sun beneath the earth, guiding the Roya to build a new home under its light...”
