Advanced Introduction to the Black Shores I

A page of the New Branch Employee Handbook, distributed by KU-Tata. It provides an overview of the Black Shores underground level.

The underground of the Black Shores is where its data space intersects with reality, also known as Tethys' Deep.

In other words, the underground space of the Black Shores is the Tethys System itself. Space Anchors, stabilizing devices positioned throughout the surface and underground levels, act as firewalls to maintain the balance between the data zone and reality, ensuring they do not interfere with each other.

If the Space Anchors malfunction, the data zone within the Tethys System can "invade" reality, triggering anomalies that, according to the records include but are not limited to:

Regional overlap between the digital space and the physical world, an increased likelihood of Consultants and Bloom Bearers developing spatial perception disorders, and simulated objects from the Sand Table escaping into reality.

Advanced Introduction to the Black Shores II

The Tethys System consists of two key components: the Data Torrent and the Stellar Matrix, a supercomputational Sand Table that imitates the celestial bodies.

Using the data of the Lament to observe and analyze its mechanisms, and thereby forewarn future occurrences of the Lament, are the duties of the "stars."

However, this is just the beginning of the application and exploration of the Tethys System. The Black Shores Consultants are actively working to unlock its full potential.

They say that the one with the highest clearance within the Black Shores was able to harness the Stellar Matrix's full computational capacity to simulate the future of civilization. However, this attempt led to the system's resources being drained to the point of near-total shutdown.
