A colossal mech of alien origin, now dormant in the Roya Frostlands. Startorch Academy was founded to train Synchronists capable of establishing Augmented Resonance with it. In the Roya’s Trine Myth, it is revered as Baldur, the earthly incarnation of the sun deity Sol. Out of respect, Royan tradition has the indigenous people tend to and guide the various components that fall from it, known as Exoswarm, to rejoin the Exostrider in an attempt to restore its functionality.

Legend claims it once held the earth’s collapsing crust with its greatsword, saving the Roya from annihilation. Predictions foretell it will awaken from its slumber to confront the ruinous Hvedrungr in a final, apocalyptic battle.

The Exostrider’s remaining weapon, buried deep within Sundermere, supports the very ceiling of the cavern, forming a structural pillar through the heart of Lahai-Roi. In the Roya’s Trine Myth, it is predicted that Baldur will draw this sword in the final battle against the ruinous entity Hvedrungr.
