Visitor from Afar

Lingyang has earned a name in Jinzhou for his eagerness to help others. When he's not performing, Lingyang can be spotted in every street of Jinzhou, helping someone out or getting to the next person who seeks his help.

With his inherent strength, the experience of surviving the wild, and versatility in tool crafts, Lingyang always effortlessly tackles challenges that come his way. He applied his handiness in crafting the liondance props such as lucky bags, red envelopes, and tassels - each intricately executed and visually captivating.

However, owing to his sweet disposition, Lingyang frequently drops a crafting project in the process to lend aid elsewhere. As a result, he's often seen carrying unfinished props around. Gradually, he became a fluffy mascot of the neighborhood beloved by the kids. They can't resist reaching out to pet on the ears and tail. "You can touch my ears, but please don't pull my tail from behind without warning..."

Occasionally, when he really needed to get out of the enthusiastic crowd of children, Lingyang would use the red envelopes as bait to divert their attention.

But, all in all, Lingyang doesn't hate this public image of his - it spells good for the business on festive occasions after all.

Anecdote in the Central Plains

When speaking of the Central Plains, one cannot overlook the annual winter training diligently undertaken by the Liondance Troupe. In the winter, the troupe gathers for rigorous training sessions at the training grounds, all in preparation for the upcoming New Year Parade. There's a tale that circulates in Jinzhou: during the winter, if someone cries out for help in the Central Plains, a peculiar creature wearing a lion head would emerge from the forests, swiftly race towards the person in distress, escort them back to the safety and silently retreat back into the woods.

Initially, its actions startled many travelers, mistaking it for a hostile beast. However, after several travelers were rescued by this weird creature from the Tacet Discords, people began to understand its true intentions-rescuing rather than preying on people.

As its true identity remains shrouded in mystery, the Central Plains has also acquired an aura of mystique. At times, during the winter in the Central Plains, you may hear the Liondance Troupe's master bellowing. From the tone of his words, it appears he's reprimanding a young man who has been repeatedly absent and seemingly slacking off during training.

The True Self

In Huanglong, a legend has long been passed down about a mythical and auspicious creature known as Suan'ni. It's said these used to be peaceful, mystic beasts dwelling in the woods. But they had come in contact with humans after fighting valiantly by their sides to repel the Tacet Discords. Their movements in combat were said to be the origin of the liondance.
