There’s a staff member on duty in the Cassette burning room; able to answer some of Rover’s questions.

Staff Member: “You're now inside the Cassette burning room. Please keep quiet at all times. How can I help you?”
Rover: “What is a Rabelle Cassette?”
Staff Member: “The Rabelle Cassette is a product of Scott Rabelle's frequency theory, a fusion of frequency observation technology and Exostrider technology. It can transfer memories and frequencies. It acts as both your Spacetrek Collective ID and your primary travel credential within Lahai-Roi. Please carry your Cassette with you at all times. Additionally, Cassettes cannot be consumed by Void Storms. So... they also serve as proof of existence for those who perished during the Void Storms.”
Rover: “I'd like to learn about Cassette burning.”
Staff Member: “All Cassette burning is completed within the Cassette burning room... Your Cassette is currently in optimal condition and doesn't need to be re-burned. Each student has the opportunity to re-burn or update their Cassette data in each academic year. While the initial burn is provided for new students and staff, all burnings must be requested and scheduled in advance.”
Rover: “Will a Cassette prevent memory loss?”
Staff Member: “...Unfortunately, Cassettes can only be used as storage devices and identity credentials at this time. While the burned memory frequencies are a perfect theoretical match to the owner's originals, and could, in theory, stabilize the frequencies of someone affected by a Void Storm through reverse input, such attempts have never truly worked. We're still researching why. So please remember, always prioritize your safety above all else.”
